What they will do for you
Can be floor standing but are often positioned on a mezzanine. A typical system comprises larger dehumidifying units supplying dry air to multiple groups of hoppers. Individual heating units can be fitted to each drying hopper to allow a wide range of materials to be dried at different temperatures within the same system. Material selection is typically made via a manifold station.
Features
(3).jpg)
- Energy recovery systems fitted to larger drying units
- Independent heating control on each hopper
- Anti-stress valves. Temperature controlled air restriction valves to avoid material degradation and energy wastage should polymer sit in hoppers for prolonged periods
- Allows central material storage and distribution
- Allows quick material change at machines simply by transferring material feed to another pre-heated hopper via quick release couplings at a selection manifold
What are the advantages?
- Eliminates manual shifting of polymer between storage and manufacturing areas
- Significant power saving. Central dryers replace multiple units
- Reduces 'down time' due to the instant availability of pre prepared material from alternative hoppers
- Eliminates the movement of individual drying systems with associated loading equipment around the manufacturing area
