In December 2022, world leaders in process cooling solutions, Frigel, announced great improvements to their adiabatic coolers, Ecodry MDK, following its debut at the K Show in October 2022. Summit Systems are the exclusive suppliers of Frigel products for UK and Irish plastics market.
The improved MDK series consumes up to 15% less energy and provides up to a 95% savings in water consumption compared to traditional cooling towers.
Frigel’s Ecodry MDK range expands its adiabatic cooling system range, borrowing some of the technological advances introduced in the company’s larger LDK range, such as a high-efficiency humidification system, electronically commutated fans and a compact, modular design. Units are available with single- and dual-fan row designs, with one to 10 fans per row, and all fans are equipped with safety switches. These heavy-duty units are built from 304L stainless steel.
Its modular design allows for easy on-site assembly and capacity expansion, simplifying the addition of more units to run in parallel. A single unit offers cooling capacity of 1.4MW as an adiabatic cooler, and up to 700kW as a dry cooler. The units provide easy access, simplifying maintenance procedures.
