Summit Systems is proud to be expanding its presence in Ireland, supporting local industry growth and strengthening partnerships across the Irish plastics sector.
Following the appointment of Nick McComb as our dedicated Irish Sales Manager, 2025 marks an exciting chapter as we step up our activity in Ireland — starting with the first of three key events this year.
A Strong Start at the Irish Polymer Group Annual Conference
On April 10th, Summit Systems exhibited for the very first time at the Irish Polymer Group Annual Conference in Hodson Bay, Athlone. This prestigious event brought together industry leaders, engineers, and innovators from across Ireland and beyond to discuss the latest challenges and advancements in plastics manufacturing.
Our attendance allowed us to connect directly with many of the major players in the Irish plastics industry. It was an ideal platform to introduce Summit Systems to a new audience, share how our technology and expertise can support Irish manufacturers, and demonstrate our long-term commitment to the market.
Building Partnerships with First Polymer Training Skillnet
Further reinforcing our dedication to supporting the Irish industry, Summit Systems is collaborating closely with First Polymer Training (FPT) Skillnet in Athlone — Ireland’s leading training network for the polymer sector. Operated under the government’s Skillnet Ireland initiative, FPT provides a wide range of industry-specific training programmes, helping companies develop world-class talent and technical skills.
As part of this partnership, Summit Systems has supplied a brand-new Vismec Rotor Wheel Dryer for FPT’s training centre, enhancing their hands-on learning facilities. We’re also planning to provide additional ancillary equipment to complement the injection moulding machines already on site, helping to create a cutting-edge environment for upskilling the next generation of polymer professionals.
More Irish Events to Come in 2025!
Our involvement in Ireland doesn’t stop here. Summit Systems will return in September for the highly anticipated MEDTECH event, followed by the first-ever Plastics Live Ireland in November. These events will provide further opportunities to meet with Irish manufacturers, showcase our latest innovations, and continue building strong industry relationships.
In addition, Irish Sales Manager Nick McComb will be regularly travelling throughout Ireland, visiting customers, providing expert advice, and ensuring that Summit Systems is a trusted partner for businesses across the region.
