Viper Big Bag Emptying Systems
The Viper Big Bag Emptying System is an automated unloading system designed to efficiently empty solid materials—such as plastic granules, regrind, or powders—from Octabins or Big Bags. Engineered by Vismec, the Viper uses a pneumatically powered vibrating suction probe to ensure smooth material flow, even with challenging or compacted loads. It operates without the need for electrical integration, connecting directly to existing vacuum conveying systems, making it a versatile and low-maintenance solution for a wide range of bulk handling applications.
Increased Efficiency
The Viper streamlines the emptying process of Octabins and Big Bags, reducing manual intervention and material loss. Its vibrating probe ensures a consistent material flow, even with compacted or irregular materials, allowing for faster and more reliable unloading.
Automatic, Hands-Free Operation
Once connected to a vacuum conveying system, the Viper begins operation automatically without needing electrical control signals. This “plug-and-play” approach simplifies integration and reduces setup time, ideal for both new installations and retrofits.
Versatile Material Handling
Engineered to handle plastic granules, regrind, and even powders (with optional accessories), the Viper supports a wide range of applications across plastics, recycling, food, and chemical industries. It adapts to various material characteristics with ease.
Universal Container Compatibility
With its robust and mobile carriage, the Viper accommodates both Octabins and Big Bags up to 1500 kg and 200 cm in height. This flexibility allows manufacturers to switch between container types without additional equipment or downtime.
Minimal Maintenance
Built with high-quality stainless and carbon steel components, the Viper is durable and corrosion-resistant. The pneumatic system eliminates the complexity of motors and gearboxes, reducing maintenance costs and service interruptions.
Space-Saving Design
Despite its powerful capabilities, the Viper has a compact footprint and vertical design, making it ideal for production environments where floor space is at a premium.
Improved Safety and Monitoring
Operators benefit from the integrated LED and horn alert system, which signals when a container is empty. This reduces guesswork and enables quick, informed decision-making, enhancing workplace safety and efficiency.
Supports Continuous Production
For high-volume operations, an optional feature allows the Viper to automatically switch to another unit once the current container is empty. This ensures uninterrupted material supply and keeps production lines running smoothly.
Energy-Efficient Operation
By using compressed air instead of electrically driven motors, the Viper offers a cost-effective and energy-conscious solution that aligns with modern sustainability goals.
-
Compressed Air Operation (6–8 bar):
The Viper operates using a compressed air supply, eliminating the need for complex electrical integration. This makes installation simpler and more adaptable across different production environments. -
Universal Suction Probe Diameters:
Available in multiple sizes – Ø38 mm, Ø40 mm, Ø50 mm, Ø60 mm, and Ø63.5 mm – the Viper’s suction probe can be easily matched to your specific vacuum line requirements, ensuring maximum compatibility with existing systems. -
Mobile Carriage with 1200 mm Stroke:
The undercarriage allows vertical movement of the suction probe up to 1200 mm, enabling thorough emptying from top to bottom of the container, even for tall or densely packed loads. -
Powerful Pneumatic Tension Force:
With a maximum tension force of 1200 N on the mobile carriage and 400 N on the vibrating probe, the Viper effectively handles dense or compacted materials, improving extraction efficiency. -
Flexible Electrical Configuration:
The system is compatible with 110V AC (60Hz) and 230V AC (50/60Hz), supporting global electrical standards where additional features like sensors or signals are required. -
Spacious Container Compatibility:
Designed to accommodate Octabins and Big Bags up to 110 x 110 x 200 cm in size and up to 1500 kg in weight, the Viper offers maximum flexibility for various material storage formats. -
Efficient Space Usage:
With a total height of up to 353 cm, the Viper delivers robust performance without occupying excessive floor space, making it ideal for tight production areas. -
Operating Temperature Range:
Built for industrial conditions, the Viper performs reliably in environments from 10°C to 40°C, ensuring year-round productivity. -
Integrated Safety and Signaling:
Includes a built-in LED and horn alert system to signal when containers are empty, helping operators respond quickly and minimise downtime. -
Optional Continuous Operation:
For uninterrupted workflows, an optional feature allows the system to automatically switch to the next Viper unit when one container is empty, supporting continuous production demands.
